In 1946, the Cleveland Rams moved to Los Angeles. While they had considerable success, the team moved to Anaheim in 1979. The Rams later moved to St. Louis. And the Los Angeles Raiders moved to Oakland, which left the city without an NFL team for twenty years. In 2016, the Chargers and Rams both moved back to L.A. All of this contributes to California’s rich football history and legendary rivalries.
