Professor Timothy Wilson

Tim Wilson is a Sports Management Professor at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. He earned his Master's Degree from the University of Tennessee and he is nearing completion of his EdD from the University of the Cumberlands. Prior to Bethel University, Wilson spent four years teaching in the Sport Management program at Tusculum University at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Wilson has extensive experience creating and facilitating learning opportunities with many of the local and regional sport properties including Bristol Motor Speedway and Boyd Sports, LLC. to help provide students with experiential learning opportunities. Graduates of his programs have gone on to work with the Phoenix Suns (NBA), the Nashville Predators (NHL), the Tennessee Smokies (AA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs), the Daytona Tortugas (Low-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds), Billings United Soccer Club, East Tennessee State University Athletics, Weber State University Athletics, Tusculum University Athletics, and many other sports organizations. Wilson also has experience in collegiate sports broadcasting as a play-by-play announcer for football, basketball, and baseball.
