Dexter Davis, PhD

Professor Dexter Davis is a Professor of Sport Management and the Sport Business Program Coordinator at the University of Tennessee Martin. As the Program Coordinator, Dr. Davis has built a growing, experiential learning based Sport Business program at UT-Martin. The program is AACSB accredited and housed in the College of Business and Global affairs. Prior to his career in academia, Dr. Davis coached soccer and held a number of different positions in the sports industry. Before moving to UT-Martin, Professor Davis taught at Alfred State, Niagra University, and York College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Davis earned his PhD in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy. Dr. Davis was named University of Tennessee Alumni Association Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year in June 2022.
