Professor John Rooke
John Rooke studied journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently the Director of the Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management and a Distinguished Executive Faculty member for Dean College in Franklin, MA. Mr. Rooke is a member of the Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame, and has been the voice of the Providence Friars Men's Basketball team for almost three decades, and has been the voice of Gillette Stadium (and Foxboro Stadium) for the New England Patriots and New England Revolution for over 25 seasons. John has hosted talk shows on WEEI Radio in Boston and WOR 710 New York, and has been a former host on ESPN Radio and NBC Sports Radio network. On top of his broadcasting work, John is a featured columnist for Patriots.com and WEEI.com and authored "Rhode Island Radio", a book on the history of radio in Rhode Island. Previously, John was an adjunct professor in journalism at Emerson College and was recognized as one of the top sports broadcasting instructors in the country by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America.
