John Cody
John Cody, originally from a small town outside Boston has long held a passion for sports. Growing up playing baseball, golf, and running track, he still gets involved in any pickup basketball or volleyball game he comes across and loves trying out new sports.
After completing a degree in Marketing from Providence College in Rhode Island, John worked with the Pawtucket Red Sox, the previous AAA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. He was responsible for organizing special events at the stadium, promoting the brand at area gatherings, and outreaching to local businesses to drive ticket sales. On top of all this, he worked in the ticket office handling sales and interfacing with customers.
Since his time in minor league baseball, he has worked in the recreation and experiential education industry for over five years. During this period of time, he was based in Thailand. John organized various travel and educational programs, managing dozens of staff and thousands of students over the years. During this time he saw the power of sport and its ability to connect people across cultures and continents.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, John pivoted from the recreation and experiential education industry to study and work in technology as a software engineer. Throughout this entire time he has held a passion for sports and writing.
