Dr. Chris Barnhill

Dr. Chris Barnhill is an Associate Professor of Sport Management at Belmont Southern University. He hold a PhD in Sport Management from The Ohio State University, and his research interests center around relationship development between organizations and employees in the sports industry. Dr. Barnhill’s research focuses on relationship development between employees and organizations in the sports industry. Specifically how applying psychological contract theory to sport-based organizational settings can have a positive effect for sports employees and organizations. Dr. Barnhill is an editorial board member for numerous academic journals including, the International Journal of Sport Management, Sport Management Educational Journal, Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, and Journal of Amateur Sport.
