Dr. Joe Cobbs

Dr. Joe Cobbs is Professor and Chair of Sports Business & Event Management at the Haile College of Business at Northern Kentucky University. He earned his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Marketing & Finance, then went to The Ohio State University for his MS in Sport Management. Dr. Cobbs then pursued his PhD in Management with a concentration in sport marketing and business strategy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His specialties include international sponsorship, the business of Formula One racing, and team rivalry. In fact, Dr. Cobbs has co-founded a website and research collaboration project called Know Rivalry which has produced original research on team rivalries for the five major sports leagues in the US as well as D-1 college sports.
