Dr. Edson Filho is an associate professor of sport, exercise, and performance psychology at BU Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. His research centers on human excellence and performance optimization at both the individual and group levels of analyses. Dr. Filho has authored over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters in the field of sport, exercise, and performance psychology, and has received numerous research fellowships and awards, including a Fulbright Doctoral Fellowship and the American Psychological Association Dissertation Award in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology. He has also worked as a consultant for elite international, college, and amateur athletes. Dr. Filho is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and a member of the sport psychology registry of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee.
